Ground has been broken on the new 59,095-square-foot Wright Memorial Hospital facility and 12,000-square-foot medical office building being built in southeast Trenton, Missouri.
Construction will begin immediately with an estimated 15- to 18-month construction period, making the new hospital ready for occupancy in early 2011. J.E. Dunn will be serving as the project’s general contractor.
As a critical access hospital, the new facility will continue to be licensed for 25 patient beds and will have all single-patient rooms with private bath facilities. The inpatient area is designed for both medical-surgical and obstetric patients. Other areas are dedicated to outpatient clinics, cardiac rehab/physical and occupational therapy as well as surgery, imaging and sleep studies. The new hospital will implement electronic medical records instead of paper records, which fulfills future hospital requirements.
