Perkins Eastman Celebrates Completion of Intensive Care Unit
Patient- and family-centered ICU features state-of-the-art technology, patient privacy, and a healing environment

The New York office of architecture and interior design firm Perkins Eastman joins the medical staff and leadership of NYU Langone Medical Center in recognizing the completion of a new 19,600-square-foot intensive care unit on the 15th floor of Tisch Hospital, the Medical Center's flagship facility. The patient- and family-centered unit offers state-of-the-art technology, more privacy, and the space to accommodate open visiting hours—an environment more conducive to healing.
The large, private patient rooms feature natural light, views of New York City, brand new equipment, flat-screen televisions, as well as carefully programmed spaces for families to visit and staff to work more efficiently. Other ICU patient safety features include computerized charting systems inside and outside each room with multipatient video surveillance technology.

Kaplan Comprehensive Cancer Center, NYU Child Study Center, consolidated Department of Radiology, among others.”
