BJAC Designs UNC Hospitals Imaging & Outpatient Care Center
Facility is UNC Hospital’s first LEED Certified building

Lou Jurkowski, CEO at BJAC, pa, an architectural firm offering professional services for specialized, complex institutional projects, has announced that the firm designed the UNC Hospitals Imaging & Outpatient Center. The new 30,000-square-foot, two-story building will house a diverse array of outpatient programs including radiology, physical therapy, and a spine clinic.
The complex will be UNC Hospital’s first building to be LEED Certified by the U.S. Green Building Council.
Imagining technologies offered at this facility include general radiography, fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, mammography, ultrasound, and bone densitometry. The complex will incorporate a covered loading dock designed for the operation of two mobile imagining trailers, a covered patient drop-off, bicycle storage, and recycling facilities.
