What do you think is a pressing issue/controversy today with healthcare design?

We are at a time of transformation for health facility design. There is increasing recognition and incorporation of research outcomes stemming from evidence-based design. Elements of innovative design (acuity-adaptable patient care, healing environments, sustainable design) add cost. How do owners balance these innovations with escalation of construction costs?
