Evergreen Orthopedic Institute is designed as a Center of Excellence containing all related services necessary to provide complete and comprehensive orthopedic care. The two-story, 29,000-square-foot building contains a Physicians’ Clinic, an Ambulatory Surgery Center, Imaging Services, and Physical Therapy.

The building form is simple and efficient, allowing greater flexibility for the layout of the clinical areas. This also allows for more of the construction budget to be used for higher-quality building materials, such as brick, preformed metal siding, and large windows to introduce natural light.

The project design team included the developer, physicians’ group, physicians’ resource consultant, architect, general contractor, and mechanical/electrical design-build engineers, who worked collaboratively to bring the project to fruition with equipment planning, operational management consulting, financial analysis and feasibility/proforma development, continuous cost estimating, creative value-added design solutions, and schedule management.

The goal of Proliance Surgeons, the physician-based client group, was to create a sophisticated and elegant, yet understated, design solution that tied together the interior and exterior of the building and reflected the technical expertise and state-of-the-art treatment, medical practice treatment, and care expected by their affluent and knowledgeable patient population.
