Architectural glass

Skyline Design’s 12 new patterns in kid’s glass art collection encourage interactivity and creative play. “Try-on” different hairstyles by peeking though artwork on eco-etch translucent glass panels. Complete a Maze, or Connect The Dots with markers on the front side of Skyline’s back-painted Vitracolor glass wall cladding. Fabricated on tempered glass in all standard glass sizes the product uses include feature walls, art distraction for children, signage, furniture, wall partitions, magnetic and marker boards.

Over-bed lighting

The UNITY Overbed fixture from Visa Lighting provides multilevel illumination for tasks such as reading or exam. The curves and glow of illuminated fabric are employed to give a comfortable feel to the healing space. An optional Amber Night Light provides light for movement and nurse evaluations, while dim enough not to disturb patient’s sleep. Other options include Target Blue Light Therapy for patients suffering from dementia and melatonin-related illnesses, and color-changing RGB LED to provide a visually interesting lightscape, soothing long-term patients.

Canvas Prints

A recent art installation at St. Joseph’s Hospital in St. Paul Minnesota features canvas prints by Henry Domke. These canvas prints have four coats of a protective matte finish to make them safe in a busy hospital environment. Canvas prints don’t have to be covered with glass, helping to cut costs for framing and eliminating glare.

Mobile sculpture

The Ganesha Mobile from Studio Lilica is a kinetic sculpture crafted from flame-resistant fabric on a flexible formed frame. These organic forms are designed specifically to create dynamic visual points of interest in large public spaces and atrium areas. The designs are lightweight and are available in a wide range of colors. They can be customized to accommodate project specifications.

LED outdoor lighting

Cooper Lighting, a division of Cooper Industries plc, announces LED outdoor product offerings providing LED solutions for streetlighting, area/site, wall mount, parking garage, canopy, and pathway applications. This rollout includes 16 new energy-efficient luminaires featuring Cooper Lighting’s patent-pending modular LightBAR technology and AccuLED Optics. All luminaires are Dark Sky Compliant.

Door and Wall protection

InPro Corporation introduces a new line of door and wall protection products made from a blend of biopolymer and reformulated PETG including recycled content. The blend does not contain halogens, sulfur, nitrogen, lead, mercury, cadmium, or hexavalent chromium. It also is BPA free. The materials are made for high-impact resistance and the base PETG holds a Silver Cradle to Cradle Certification. The BioPolyPETG+ blend has a NFPA Class 1 fire rating, and GREENGUARD Indoor Air may contribute to LEED credit for rapidly renewable material.

Fine-art prints

Kevin Sink Photography produces natural landscape images that introduce nature scenes into the healing environment. The fine-art prints are made with archival materials to ensure durability. Kevin Sink Photography offers large prints on two types of paper and on canvas. Lighting design service

Schuler Shook provides lighting design services to enhance healthcare environments. Steel art trees

NatureMaker Steel Art Trees can be custom-designed for a variety of healthcare interiors. NatureMaker makes 16′ tall “rainforest-inspired” trees. The trees as a whole can create an intricate overhead canopy indigenous to a tropical rainforest. The inspiration is to create a kinder, gentler environment for children to enjoy.

LED graphic panels

Everbrite’s LED Graphic Panel Illuminators provide uniform illumination for various projects. Everbrite Lighting is able to design, engineer, and build custom LED light panels that fit the curvature of a curtain wall. The LED panel system’s high brightness LEDs are used to achieve a certain light level as needed for installations.

Mural design

Surface View offers a range of products suitable for healthcare interiors. Their range of imagery allows the client to customize for their own unique design for any environment.

Hand-etched art

Móz/Art presents a new series of wall treatments for contemporary environments. Featuring Mondrian-inspired, hand-etched patterns highlighted with translucent colors, the Móz/Art collection is designed for healthcare facilities. Each Móz/Art piece is custom-created to complement a site’s professional decor and stands one-inch off the wall for a floating effect.

Móz/Art panels are composed of 80% post-industrial recycled aluminum and contribute to LEED 2.0 MR Credit 4 – Recycled Content. The standard size is 3-foot by 5-foot with custom sizes also available and is shipped ready to install.

Fluorescent bulbs

BULBRITE introduces the Purify02 family of Coil and T5 Quad CFLs which break down odors and are suited for damp smelling applications. Purify02 CFLs are energy efficient and designed with a TiO2 coating that helps purify the air and eliminate odors. A Tri-Phosphor provides high-lumen output and lumen maintenance. Purify02 CFLS offer 8,000 life hours. Lamping options include LEDs, HID, compact fluorescents, fluorescents, halogens, krypton/xenon, incandescent, and a broad range of specialty lamps.

Mixed-media artwork

The Camozzi Art Studio specializes in mixed-media artworks for the healthcare industry. They integrate the philosophy of healing through nature into installations and environments internationally. Intimate to monumental in scale, the artworks incorporate photography, painting, sculpture, and kinetic mobiles. Consultation and collaboration with all phases of production and planning teams are an integral part of their approach.

Nature scene artwork

Health Environment Art Services worked with local talent for a 600-piece art program for Alexian Brothers Medical Center which encompassed work in a variety of mediums. The hospital’s goal for their new bed tower was to bring some of that beauty and serenity indoors through artwork.

Wall sconce

Hèmèra introduces the Korus wall sconce. Hèmèra’s products are ADA compliant and are available in a variety of lamping options-13W, 18W, 26W. The Korus Wall Sconce features encapsulated fabric which offers the warm look of fabric that can be maintained and sanitized.

PVC-free wall protection

Acrovyn 4000 from CS Group has been reengineered to be an environmentally friendly wall. Manufactured from engineered PETG, Acrovyn contains no PVC, PBTs, or BPA. Acrovyn 4000 is UL Classified, Class 1 fire tested and labeled, and it is completely recyclable. Its contemporary texture improves the end cap to profile match for both texture and color consistency. The entire Acrovyn product line has achieved MBDC Cradle to Cradle Silver Certification.
