The top executives of any company are critical to the health of the firm, yet many delay or simply never schedule an annual physical. Recognizing an unmet need in the primary care market, Swedish Medical Center partnered with a leading architecture firm to design an executive health-screening facility that caters to the needs of busy executives.

The Swedish Executive Health Center contains diagnostic equipment required for a comprehensive physical and puts patient convenience and scheduling efficiency as the top priorities. This clinic was also designed with amenities more commonly found in five-star hotels.

Each guest is greeted curbside and escorted by a personal liaison through a gallery featuring original artwork in a setting of light wood, stone floors, and fabric ceilings. Each guest suite is complete with a living room, a bathroom with spa-like ambience, and an exam room. Plush furniture with rich textures and fabrics contributes to the resort-like atmosphere. The center is completely wired and wireless, so executives can stay connected to their work if they choose.

The diagnostic wing continues the facility’s elegant ambience with wood flooring and warm colors. Flooded with natural light, the space decreases anxiety while providing cardiovascular and pulmonary testing and diagnostic imaging services.

Although this was an out-of-pocket venture, market share has soared, and the Swedish Executive Health Center is booked for months in advance.
