Located at Zayed Sports City in Abu Dhabi, Healthpoint is a comprehensive orthopedic center aimed at attracting patients beyond its borders. The LEED Gold-designed, 78-bed primary and specialty care facility, which is managed by Germany’s Asklepios, opened in September 2013 and houses Mubadala Healthcare’s Abu Dhabi Knee & Sports Medicine Centre and Wooridul Spine Centre. It was designed by HDR (New York).

“We recognize that patients seeking medical excellence are traveling abroad to receive the highest level of expertise and care,” Dr. Ihsan Husein Al Marzouqi, CEO of Healthpoint and senior vice president at Mubadala Healthcare, said in a release. “Healthpoint’s model is centered on becoming an innovative, research-participative medical facility that provides each of our patients with peer-reviewed, multidisciplinary, and patient-focused care.”

The campus features an entry courtyard, reflecting pool, and landscaped promenades. The interiors take cues from hospitality design with the use of warm woods and a soothing color palette of aqua and cerulean. VIP suites feature a patient room and an adjoining family room, a garden terrace providing scenic views of the city’s skyline, and a children’s play area in serene surroundings.
