The new Canyon Vista Medical Center in Sierra Vista, Ariz., designed by Gould Turner Group for RegionalCare Hospital Partners, opened in April 2015. The new 100-bed, all-private, four-story center is housed in 177,000 square feet on 77 acres. It’s connected to the existing outpatient surgery and diagnostic center to allow convenient access for physicians, staff, and patients.

Separate entrances are provided for the main entry, emergency walk-in, ambulance, service, staff, and physicians. The three round main lobbies are positioned to give families, patients, and visitors direct access to all major services while respecting their privacy as care needs are met. The first floor houses all ancillary services while the second floor accommodates ICU, the third floor houses obstetrics, and the fourth floor provides a new adult psychiatric unit.

The colors, finishes, furniture, and all local artwork were designed and positioned to create an artistic cohesive flow with the local Arizona landscape, both in the interior and exterior palette of colors and use of materials such as stone and stucco.
