When the Miami VA planned the total shutdown of its operating rooms, a complex to support this major renovation was developed that consists of five mobile surgical units and one mobile unit for staff. These units are attached to the medical center via a connecting corridor that was designed to provide additional storage and workspace in the immediate vicinity of the mobile units, and to provide the staff with the most efficient workflow possible.
As the global need for healthcare continues to grow, mobile healthcare technologies present an innovative way for hospitals to continue serving patients in a cost-effective manner.
