When the Miami VA planned the total shutdown of its operating rooms, a complex to support this major renovation was developed that consists of five mobile surgical units and one mobile unit for staff. These units are attached to the medical center via a connecting corridor that was designed to provide additional storage and workspace in the immediate vicinity of the mobile units, and to provide the staff with the most efficient workflow possible.
