Ergonomic stool

Humanscale, manufacturer of the award-winning Freedom chair designed by Niels Diffrient, now offers the versatile Freedom Saddle seat, also by Diffrient. The Saddle is available in a full range of colors and textiles, including two antimicrobial textiles for healthcare, lab, and clean-room applications.

The Saddle is designed as a more comfortable alternative to traditional stools. The unique triangular shape of its cushion allows users to position themselves along the flat edge and sit as they would on a normal stool, or straddle the corner and sit as they would in a saddle. The latter position puts the lumbar region of the spine into a healthier posture by rotating the pelvis forward. The Saddle’s small size and light weight make it easy to move and even easier to tuck under a desk when not in use.

Lounge furnishings

The Palette Lounge Series, designed by Wolfgang C.R. Mezger for Davis Furniture, offers solutions for the waiting/working environment. Its generous seats and tablet/table options create comfortable one-, two-, or three-seat units that may be used separately or joined together. This series offers versatility in design, including facing seats in opposite directions, allowing designers to create unique units—from simple bench groupings to comfortable tandem-seats that offer privacy.

Palette also offers a modular unit with two electrical and two data plugs that can be placed almost anywhere under a pallet unit and slide out for access.

Rotating tables may be specified on the outside leg of a pallet (left or right) or mounted on the pallet. Pallet-mounted tables may be specified instead of a seat cushion and are offered in granite, glass, wood, and solid-core plastic.
