Healthcare facilities are facing a new trend in acute care.  The influence of the baby boom generation is affecting how we design for our aging population.  This group is creating new demands on the healthcare system to provide spaces that speak to their motor, cognitive and sensory capabilities.  The challenge is greater as we are seeing people living longer, more active lives, yet we still see that 50% of hospital patients are over the age of 65.

Join a panel of leading healthcare design industry professionals as they address the challenge of designing for the aging population.  Moderated by Jocelyn Stroupe, IIDA, of CANNON DESIGN, this interdisciplinary group will address this topic from different perspectives, whose collective goal is to provide high quality design for patients, visitors, and staff of the facility.
