AIA AAH Student Design Charrette and Presentation

This exciting annual event is designed to highlight the brilliance and innovation of our future healthcare architects. Students from several area universities will bring their creativity and ideas to this fun and evocative design challenge. Presentation of the three-day-long Charrette will be given and critiqued during a special presentation on Tuesday, November, 15 from 10:30 a.m. — 12:00 p.m.

AIA AAH Tuttle Fellowship Presentation
Tuesday, November 15 | 12:45 p.m. — 2:00 p.m.

The goal of the AIA Arthur N. Tuttle Jr. Graduate Fellowship in Health Facility Planning and Design is to increase architecture students' awareness of the special requirements and nature of healthcare facilities, and advance the knowledge of planning and design for healthcare environments. Awarded annually, most of these recipients were postgraduate recipients and were working professionally at the time of submission. Presentations of this year's recipients will include: Eva Behringer, Clemson University, The Daylight Imperative; Erin Peavey, Texas A&M,Designing for Interdisciplinary Communication & Collaboration on the Nursing Unit; Heather Bachman, Clemson University, Therapeutic By Design: Integrated Adult Health Services.

EDAC Examination

Maximize Your Investment at HEALTHCARE DESIGN and get EDAC Certified Before You Leave the Conference!

HEALTHCARE DESIGN attendees have two opportunities to take the Evidence-Based Design Accreditation and Certification (EDAC) examination on site at the conference. EDAC-certified individuals must demonstrate a clear understanding of the concepts and the ability to use an evidence-based design process to meet and/or exceed the recommended minimum requirements. Candidates will have 2 hours to complete the exam.

Pre-Registration for the exam is required. Special offer exclusive to HCD attendees includes: a discount exam fee of $346 and a chance to test your EBD knowledge with a Risk Free Pass – if you don’t pass the first time, re-take the exam once more, free of charge. Space is limited and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Sign up for the exam session with your conference registration, and the exam application will be emailed to you so you can complete your registration. Participation in the EDAC exam training workshop is recommended, but not mandatory, to sign up for the exam.
