Balfour Beatty Construction Appoints New VP of Operations

Balfour Beatty Construction appointed Kirk Benken Vice President of Operations for Austin and Central Texas. In this role, he will be responsible for client development and regional growth in large ground-up, low to mid-rise, and interior construction. 

 

Benken started his career with the company in 1995 after earning a degree in Construction Management from Purdue University. His operations experience in healthcare, federal projects and public-private partnerships reinforces the company’s regional expansion plans.   

 

Balfour Beatty’s portfolio includes major Central Texas projects, including the Austonian – the tallest residential building in America west of the Mississippi, the Hays County Government Center in San Marcos, more than $75 million in regional education projects, and interior and renovation construction for national clients, including Lance Armstrong Foundation, Google and Facebook.
