The Baylor Surgical Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, is moving forward on a new $35.1 million, 77,000-square-foot replacement project with the recent purchase of a 5.3-acre site for the project.
The new facility will house 30 inpatient beds, 14 operating rooms, a 24-hour emergency department, and an imaging suite, reports the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
The project is scheduled to begin in May 2013 and be completed in August 2014. According to the report, the new building will provide space for Baylor to provide a range of services including specialized orthopedic, spine, pain management, urology, and ear, nose, and throat surgery.
