Interior construction on the new Memorial Hermann Convenient Care Center is now underway. Memorial Hermann, of Humble, Texas, selected Balfour Beatty Construction to provide construction management services for the build-out of the new facility.
The $7.4 million, 30,000-square-foot center is designed to take the stress out of scheduling appointments for routine health needs—MRI, CT scan, radiology, wellness, prevention, physical therapy, and rehabilitation—by offering families convenient options such as walk-in access, and extended evening and weekend hours.
For more urgent needs, the center will offer a 24-hour, seven day a week, state-of-the-art emergency department staffed by Memorial Hermann Northeast’s board-certified emergency medicine physicians and emergency trained nurses.
Balfour Beatty Construction has worked with Memorial Hermann for 24 years, completing construction of more than 1.7 million square feet in space for Memorial Hermann.
Interior design for the Convenient Care Center was provided by Philo Wilke, and the project engineer is Telios Engineering.
Interior construction is anticipated to be complete in November 2012. A ribbon-cutting ceremony is planned prior to the facility opening in late 2012.
