General contractor Hill & Wilkinson has completed a $13.7 million, fully licensed rehabilitation hospital for Reliant Healthcare Partners in 10 months with zero safety incidents, according to Jacob Riney, executive vice president of Hill & Wilkinson.  The new three-story, 65,000-square-foot facility was developed by HealthCap, designed by Perkins + Will, and is located at 20180 Chasewood Park Drive, Houston, Texas.

The facility consists of 60 patient beds, 20 per level, with 40 standard rehabilitation rooms and 20 skilled nursing units. Patient room corridors are 20 feet wide, and each level includes a spacious lounge area with abundant natural daylighting to encourage interaction among patients and enhance rehabilitation. All patients enjoy flat-screen televisions, oversized showers and bathrooms, personal desks and wireless Internet to stay connected to friends and family.

The first floor houses a 4,800 square-foot outpatient therapy gym with a salt water therapy pool. The hospital also includes a full-service commercial kitchen with private and public dining, pharmacy, and occupational rehabilitation.
