Stamford Health has opened the first of several Stamford Health Medical Group practices in the new Stamford Integrated Care Pavilion (ICP) on the main campus in Stamford, Conn. The first practices available for patients are the Stamford Health Medical Group (SHMG) Electrophysiology, Cardiology, and Thoracic Surgery offices, which are located on the 5th floor of the ICP.

Additional SHMG practices and hospital-based services will open during the next several weeks.

The 97,000-square-foot ICP features three levels of clinical offices on top of a 382-parking space deck. The building is connected to the new Stamford Hospital via a glass-enclosed skyway.

When fully operational, the ICP will provide access to various specialists and services, including colorectal surgery, gynecologic/oncology, additional heart and vascular services, imaging and lab services, infectious disease care, internal medicine, neurology, obstetrics, physical medicine, pulmonary function testing, and urology.

Stamford Health’s wound care and hyperbaric medicine center will also move to the ICP in January.

The project team includes Suffolk Construction, WHR Architects (Houston), construction company A.P. Construction Company (Stamford, Conn.) and developer MedCraft Healthcare Real Estate.
