For the sixth consecutive year, Stevens Construction won an Aurora Award at the Southeast Builder’s Conference. The Aurora Awards honor the best in construction in a 12-state region.
Also, for the fourth consecutive year, the company was presented with a Grand Aurora Award, which recognizes the best project within an entire category.
In a ceremony held on July 28 in Orlando, Stevens Construction was recognized with the Aurora Award in the commercial healthcare category for Chapters Health System's Bud and Donna Somers Hospice House and Resource Center.
Situated on six acres in Sebring, Florida, the 33,636-square-foot hospice house features 16-private suites with garden-view lanais surrounding a centralized nursing station. The facility also includes children’s area, chapel, kitchen, library, and pharmacy, and counseling rooms.
Entries were judged on design, quality of construction, unusual constraints, cost savings techniques, and outstanding features.
The company has earned 12 Aurora Awards since 2007, four within the healthcare division. Stevens Construction has also earned four Grand Aurora awards for best in category.
