Approximately 220 patients from Braddock Hospital and Memorial Hospital will be transported throughout the day—based on a phased schedule—by ambulance to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center. Braddock Hospital and Memorial Hospital will be accepting patients up until Saturday, November 21 at 6 a.m. Once all patients from both hospitals have been safely transported to the new centralized hospital, Braddock Hospital and Memorial Hospital will officially close.
More than 2,500 hospital employees, volunteers and other community members will join together to successfully combine two hospitals into one regional medical center in less than a 12-hour time period. Approximately 220 patients will be transported from Braddock Hospital and Memorial Hospital by ambulance to Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
