Nurture by Steelcase, The Center for Health Design, and HEALTHCARE DESIGN magazine are pleased to announce the winner of the 2012 Nurture Collegiate Healthcare Design Competition.

Innovative Design for Cancer Centers: Supporting Mobile Tasks and Technology Through the Use of "Care Control Stations"
Submitted by Diana Sabouni, Rehab Aburas, Duy Pham, Haitham El-Hammali, and Islam Obeidat from Texas Tech University.
HONORABLE MENTION
Shifting Gears in Healthcare Communication In a Technology-first Environment: How Collaboration is Vital to Shift Change
Submitted by Megan Norris, Sarah Lanzer, Stephanie Boyd, and Christine Bono from the University of Kansas.
This year's theme, "Supporting Mobile Work in Healthcare" was selected to encourage future healthcare architects and designers to build their knowledge of the evidence-based design process and apply it to create spaces that support healing and well-being for patients, families, and staff.
The winning team will be honored at a special awards ceremony at the 2012 HEALTHCARE DESIGN conference in Phoenix in November.
