Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion, the new destination site of the Henry Ford Cancer Institute located in Detroit, Mich., will be holding a groundbreaking ceremony on June 6. The project is the first major development of a 300-acre campus expansion across from Henry Ford Hospital and the largest financial investment in a medical facility in the city in four decades.

The six-story, 187,000-square-foot Brigitte Harris Cancer Pavilion will offer ambulatory cancer treatment, precision medicine, clinical trials and support services for cancer patients.

The groundbreaking ceremony will include an interactive art project with cancer survivors inspired by the late Brigitte Harris and her love of roses, a video depicting “the comeback of Detroit through the lens of cancer survivors and their care team,” and a 3-D replica of the building and surrounding space.
