NorthBay Medical Center in Fairfield, Calif., is hold its “Topping Out Ceremony” tomorrow. The new structure is part of a $200 million modernization project on the Fairfield campus. Expected to open in 2019, it will feature 22 new patient rooms, new surgical suites, a hospital cafeteria, nutrition services, diagnostic Imaging and supply rooms.

Work also continues on transforming the center’s old lobby into space that will become part of an expanded Emergency Department. The first phase of the Emergency Department expansion is set to open in late summer of this year. Further expansion, which will result in the addition of 31 new beds, is expected to be completed in 2019.
