Pacific Medical Buildings (PMB) and Sawtooth Development Group LLC recently broke ground on a four-story, 60,000-square-foot medical office building in downtown Superior, Colo. The new development, Superior Medical Center, includes a four-story, 229 space parking structure that connects to the medical office building by a pedestrian bridge. The $18.5 million medical center is projected to be completed by early 2018.

Superior Medical Center is a component of Downtown Superior, a 157-acre mixed-use project in various stages of development. This master-planned community provides dining options, sporting events, outdoor recreation and live entertainment. Plans call for 440,000 square feet of commercial and retail space, a 150,000-square-foot sports center, two hotels combining up to 500 rooms and 1,400 residential units.

Superior Medical Center is currently 50 percent leased. Tenants include Boulder Community Health (BCH), Touchstone Imaging and Cornerstone Orthopedics & Sports Medicine. John Gustafson of Newmark Grubb Knight Frank is overseeing leasing for the building.

Intergroup Architects is the architect for the project and DSP Builders, Inc. will serve as the general contractor.
