AtlantiCare, a member of Geisinger Health System, will mark the opening of the second phase of its AtlantiCare Health Park, Manahawkin Campus, tomorrow, June 28.

The new facility, which will open to the public June 29, will be open weekdays with varying service hours. Programs and services that operated out of the first building AtlantiCare opened in October, 2016, in Manahawkin (a 3,800-square-foot-facility, and former Pizza Hut building), will now be in the new location. They include AtlantiCare Physician Group Primary Care; AtlantiCare Clinical Laboratory; APG Cardiology; APG OB/GYN; and APG Surgical Associates (general and bariatric surgical services). Rothman Institute Orthopaedics plans to open in the facility in October and Atlantic Medical Imaging plans to open in early 2018.

AtlantiCare Urgent Care will open in the first building July 2. It will be open seven days a week, including holidays, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Facility features in the new building include a single point of entry check-in with fingerprint/biometric kiosk scans. The Main Street section of the facility will have a baffle ceiling and skylights. Open social spaces in lieu of traditional waiting rooms will include charging stations and electronic interactive play devices for children.

The urgent care will offer beach and nature-themed décor and paint colors, and more than 90 pieces of art featuring the theme “healing through nature.” In addition, there will be a 2,200-square-foot community room, 22 patient examination rooms, in-room check-out and blood draw capabilities for primary care and cardiac surgery/cardiac diagnostic patients, a café and a landscaped outdoor garden area, free Wi-Fi, and a community pharmacy, which will open in August.

The Cardiology and Cardiac Diagnostics Suite will provide seven exam rooms, a stress echocardiography room, an ultrasound, and a Holt/PACE room.
