According to “Vail Daily,” Vail Valley Medical Center, now called Vail Health, unveiled its new west wing, a $68 million expansion that has helped the facility transition from clinic to hospital. The west wing expansion includes a cardiac catheterization and electrophysiology lab, a new intensive care unit, a new patient care unit, an expanded surgical services suite and expanded space for Howard Head Sports Medicine. The Steadman Clinic also received a new, 24,000-square-foot fourth floor.

Construction on the hospital’s east wing, which involves replacing a 38,000-square-foot building with a 500,000-square-foot building, will begin this fall.
