Following a multi-year collaboration, M+A Architects has formally acquired KMA Design Partners’ (KMA/DP) institutional practice portfolio. An EDGE certified, multi-disciplinary architectural design and planning partnership, KMA/DP focused on healthcare, civic and urban development, community and educational facilities.

P’Elizabeth Koelker, co-founder of KMA/DP, has been directing M+A’s healthcare and higher education practices during the merger, and will continue in that role as principal within M+A Architects, becoming part of the firm’s third generation of leadership.

Specializing in institutional architecture, Koelker has more than 25 years of experience, both locally and nationally. Koelker also has served as an adjunct instructor with the Knowlton School of Architecture at The Ohio State University and the Elliot Program for Health Care Design at Kent State University. She’s also an advocate for women in the profession, most recently as part the Central Ohio Women in Architecture steering committee.

Prior KMA/DP partners Dottie Stamm, Ken Cleaver and Wes Hawkins will also continue in their leadership roles as associates within M+A Architects.
