John Ruggieri, LEED AP, and Travis Leissner, AIA, have joined Hoefer Wysocki as vice presidents in the firm’s Dallas office.

Leissner has more than 25 years of experience in healthcare, education, and recently wellness and active-aging environments.

Previously, Leissner served as regional practice area leader for education and health and wellness markets at Gensler. As vice president at CannonDesign, Leissner expanded the firm’s brand in Texas with a primary focus in the health and education practices. Prior to his involvement with those organizations, Leissner was with other national firms and was a founding partner of a healthcare-focused design firm.

Ruggieri has joined Hoefer Wysocki as vice president of urban design. He brings more than 30 years of experience to the firm’s urban design and planning studio. He will lead in the practices of urban redevelopment, transit-oriented development, and sports and entertainment.

Ruggieri previously served as AECOM’s director of design, planning and economics, and as vice president of planning and urban design at RTKL.
