Vendome Group and The Center for Health Design are pleased to present the 10th annual Architectural Showcase edition featuring firms from across North America. All projects were reviewed by a jury of architects, designers, researchers, and facility-based experts. Starting on page 56, our jurors comment on their experiences at this year’s judging, as well as on the 2010 Architectural Showcase entries on the whole.

Some projects received special recognition for their outstanding innovative design solutions in new or renovated healthcare environments; these are our Citation of Merit winners. The three Citation of Merit winners are featured beginning on page 78; you can read the jury’s comments on the Citation winners starting on page 64.

In addition, our colleagues from The Center for Health Design have contributed a special look at some of the obstacles and creative solutions found among this year’s projects (page 70).

What follows-starting with the index on page 74-are projects the jury accepted for this year’s Showcase. We’d like to thank all who entered this year’s Architectural Showcase for sharing their work with our audience; we think you’ll find much to learn from their efforts. We’d also like to extend most heartfelt thanks to all of our jurors-we couldn’t do it without you.
