I’ve met a lot of people in this industry over the past three years, talking to countless architects, designers, providers, suppliers, and others about design best practices, the direction of healthcare, and the future of our built environments. Between myself and the three other editors on this brand, we’ve covered a lot of ground while gathering a ton of insight from the people in the trenches.

But we always want more. And to that end, I’m thrilled to announce our expanded Editorial Advisory Board. The board itself is not new; until now it was a small group of wonderfully smart and prolific experts in healthcare design with whom we’d connect regularly to take the pulse of the industry. But the time has come to add some new faces (and a lot more, actually), as the scope of healthcare design work—and the goals of the Healthcare Design brand—evolve and grow.

Our new Editorial Advisory Board includes 30 high-level professionals, all representing different organizations. We have 15 architects practicing in national and regional firms, five interior designers, six owners, and five others allied to the field (consultants, construction and engineering leaders, and an evidence-based design trailblazer). We fully intend to put them to work, turning to the board regularly for feedback, project updates, and industry predictions. They’re all game, and they’re certainly up to the task.

Keep an eye out over the next few weeks for the full list, when you can meet our new board members by name. And while we’re very excited to have them, that doesn’t mean our editorial strategy of talking to as many people as possible, gathering as many perspectives as possible, is going to change at all. So don’t be surprised to see us approaching you at any of our events, or when that Ohio area code shows up on your line.
