A quick update from the HEALTHCARE DESIGN (HCD) and Healthcare Building Ideas (HBI) editorial team about our websites! Well when I originally started writing this blog a few days ago everything was great in the world of technology and our websites were robust with new features added. That is, until something went awry in the server room. Needless to say two days with no email, internet, or phone service did not make for a very happy team but we took it in stride. Todd Hutlock, HCD’s editor-in-chief was busy on Twitter though and even tweeted what we felt was momentous occasion—using the printed dictionary!

However, I’m happy to announce that all is well again in the world of IT on HCD and HBI’s end. The phone lines are back up, we can now post some content for our readers, and that big dictionary has gone back to languish on the dusty shelf.

The launch of HCD and HBI new websites last year in June brought a fresh new look as well as access to more topics, and additional features to ease navigation. So we just wanted to give a quick heads-up about the little tweaks that have been made to the site since then.

Readers can now view the new and improved digital magazine, sign up for the e-newsletter that is released every Friday for HCD and twice a month for HBI, and check out the most popular blogs or articles. Download information on specific topics or register for webinars by clicking on the right-hand side of the page in the Webinars and Whitepapers box.

We also have added the HCD and HBI Twitter feeds to the sites. The editors will now have their individual HCD Twitter IDs, so follow us at @HCD_THutlock, @HCD_JKSilvis, and @HCD_ShandiM.

We hope to keep the site refreshed and accessible—barring any technological hiccups. So visit us daily for our news, articles, blogs, and other content or stay and comment.
