DuPont™ Corian® introduces its new Healing Colors Collection for interior healthcare spaces. This selection of 72 colors brings a sense of the natural world to interior healthcare environments, helping to reduce cold, institutional feelings and spark positive outcomes for patients and staff. Developed as a user-friendly design tool, the collection has six color groups—H2O, Flame, Earth, Wood, Alloy, and Oxygen—allowing architects and designers to create a variety of therapeutic environments.

Marmoleum Composition Tile (MCT) from Forbo is made from natural ingredients. MCT’s naturally inherent antimicrobial and antistatic properties offer improved indoor air quality and combat MRSA and other strains of bacteria. MCT is occupancy ready, requiring no initial maintenance. It is financially beneficial to LEED projects, and carries the most LCA based certifications of any resilient flooring product.

Broadloom and carpet tile


Applying an architectural theme to textile was the point of inspiration for Bentley Prince Street’s newest product line, Functional Expression. Comprised of five products, all available in broadloom and carpet tile, the textiles’ scales and patterns provide an aesthetic that is both inventive and practical. Bentley Prince Street created five modern styles offering solutions that include broadloom and carpet tile in solution-dyed premium nylon.

Fabric disinfectant


Crypton, a performance fabric producer, has created an EPA-approved Disinfectant & Deodorizer that kills mold, mildew, and most germs on contact. When used in conjunction with Crypton Super Fabric, Crypton’s Disinfectant & Deodorizer creates the first disinfectable fabric in the world.

Commercial flooring


Mondo’s Harmoni commercial surface, an innovative dual durometer surface, has a low life-cycle cost. It is stain resistant, naturally antibacterial and antimicrobial, and provides excellent cushion underfoot. Harmoni is quieter with a sound absorption up to 22 dB. It is available in 28 colors, in rolls or tiles. It can help contribute to LEED points.

Acczent® from Johnsonite offers the look and feeling of wood flooring with the high performance, low maintenance of heterogeneous sheet vinyl. A new collection of wood patterns has been added to a product that has years of proven performance within the healthcare segment.

Antimicrobial surface additive


STA-CARE, INC., the manufacturer of Evolution™ Solid Surface Bath Systems, announces antimicrobial properties now available: Surfaceguard featuring Polygiene, an active antimicrobial additive, is incorporated into the resin used to create solid surface products. Surfaceguard effectively retards the growth of odor-causing bacteria, mold, and mildew.

New flooring colors4


Staron Surfaces has added 10 new colors to its Tempest Line. Branded Tempest Stylist, the new series includes larger, translucent particluates, which create a look that rivals quartz and natural stone. Loop presents Simple Objects, a collection with designs derived from safety pins, barcodes, matches, bubble wrap, zippers, staples, and egg cartons. Lonseal’s new Lonzebra Collection is an innovative sheet vinyl solution that can be applied to floors, walls, and ceilings. Providing maximum resistance in environments where increased vertical abrasions can occur, the resilient sheet vinyl protects itself from the threat of dirt and abrasions with its embossed-wood grain texture. Lonzebra emits low VOCs, can contribute to LEED points and is rated Class B in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association’s 101 Life Safety Code.
