Peter Lougheed Centre, part of Alberta Health Services, in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, is constructing a temporary COVID-19 treatment center at the hospital.

The project by Stantec (Edmonton, Alberta, Canada), Sprung Structures (Aldersyde, Alberta, Canada), and CANA Construction (Calgary, Alberta, Canada), will house up to 70 patients and will add more than 8,000 square feet of treatment space to the current hospital space.

The temporary treatment facility is expected to be turned over to Alberta Health Services by the end of April to begin equipment installation and prepare for patient intake.
