Healthcare Design and Contract magazines, in partnership with the Center for Health Design, named the winners of the 2018 Nightingale Awards during the Healthcare Design Expo & Conference taking place in Phoenix this week.

Named after Florence Nightingale, the awards recognize a product’s contribution to the healing environment as well as its functionality, durability, quality, aesthetics and style, and pricing.

A 12-member jury panel of healthcare architects, interior designers, and facility managers selected Krug’s Ascend Patient Recliner with Vertical Lift as the Best of Competition. The chair was also honored with a Gold Award and Innovation Award in Furniture: Clinician Support.
