Baxter Regional Medical Center officials officially broke ground last week on the hospital’s new outpatient surgery center in Mountain Home, Ariz. According to a report in the Baxter Bulletin, the 23,000 square-foot facility, southeast of the hospital, is estimated to cost $8.7 million and should be completed in early 2021.

Reporter Scott Liles writes: “The hospital expects the outpatient surgery center to perform about 3,000 procedures in its first year of operation, and it has the capacity to perform about 7,000 procedures a year once at full capacity…A construction time of 13 to 14 months” is likely.
