As healthcare organizations face an unprecedented need for safe and additional spaces for COVID-19 care, integrated design firm Facility Optimization of Solutions (FOS) of CannonDesign  is offering pro-bono guidance for reopening vacant or decommissioned facilities in New York state, Denver, or Houston to accommodate COVID-19 patients.

FOS will deploy interdisciplinary teams of architects, engineers, and planners to develop a recommissioning or repurposing strategy using software developed in-house to understand and analyze data to guide the decision-making process for recommissioning closed buildings, Joe Cassata, of FOS of CannonDesign, said in a statement.
