MarinHealth Medical Center has opened a new hospital in Greenbrae, Calif., to replace an aging facility.

The $315 million, 265,000-square-foot Oak Pavilion features four levels with 115 private patient rooms and three operating rooms, as well as larger treatment rooms, ED, and trauma center than the previous facility.

The project incorporates biophilic design elements including floor-to-ceiling windows in the patient rooms, skylights above caregivers stations, and five indoor/outdoor solariums.

The project team includes Perkins Eastman (architect and healthcare planner; Los Angeles), McCarthy Building Companies Inc. (general contractor; San Francisco), and SWA Group (landscape architect; San Francisco).
