McLaren Health Care is developing a $450 million, 500,000-square-foot medical center in Lansing, Mich., and has announced the project team.

The campus will feature a 240-bed hospital, cancer center, ambulatory care center, and other facilities to support healthcare delivery, educational opportunities, and medical research. Located adjacent to Michigan State University on a 39-acre greenfield site, the project will consolidate two existing hospital facilities.

Project partners include:
Harley Ellis Devereaux (executive architect and engineer); The Christman Co. and Barton Malow, a joint venture (construction managers); CallisonRTKL (architect); Kramer Management Group (program manager); Pace Howe Design (interior finishes consultant); C2AE (civil engineering consultant); PEA (civil engineering design); Thermal Tech (MEP commissioning, consulting ); IMEG (medical equipment planner, technology planner).

Design-build teams for the campus’s ambulatory care center and cancer center portions of the project have not yet been determined.

The new medical center is slated to open in 2021.
