Halton Healthcare recently achieved total completion on the $512 million expansion project at Milton District Hospital in Ontario, Canada.

The expansion adds 330,000 square feet of space to the existing 125,000 square foot hospital. Highlights of the project include a total of 129 inpatient beds, expanded emergency and surgical services, medical/surgical inpatient units, critical care, maternal newborn, and diagnostic imaging and support services.

The design incorporates a sustainable building strategy pursuing Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design (LEED) Silver certification through the Canada Green Building Council.

Major project partners include Halton Healthcare (owner); Plenary Group (project sponsor, equity investor, financial arranger); PCL Constructors Canada Inc. (design-builder; Toronto); Johnson Controls (facilities manager); B+H Architects and RTKL Associates (architect); Smith and Andersen (mechanical/electrical consultant); WSP (structural consultant).
