New Hanover Regional Medical Center (NHRMC; Wilmington, N.C.) is planning a new hospital in Wilmington, according to an article in Wilmington Biz.

The $210 million project will feature eight ORs and 66 acute-care beds, including 36 new beds and 30 relocated beds from NHRMC’s current Orthopedic Hospital (Wilmington) campus. Six short-term observation beds are also planned. The project will also be attached to NHRMC’s freestanding Emergency Department-North (Wilmington).

The hospital is scheduled to open in October 2024.
