Meadowlands Exposition Center in Secaucus, N.J., which served as one of three field hospitals in the state to help handle the surge of patients from the COVID-19 pandemic, has closed in response to diminishing need. Patients will be transferred to an alternative care site at East Orange General Hospital, in East Orange, N.J., according to an article in NJ.com.

Two other field hospitals in Edison, N.J., with 500 beds, and Atlantic City, N.J., with 250 beds, will remain open. The Secaucus site was the first to open with 250 beds.
