This April, Community Health Network’s Community Cancer Center North in Indianapolis opened to the public.

In the three-story, 104,000-square-foot cancer center, adult cancer diagnoses are treated with a combination of surgery, chemotherapy, oral chemotherapy and/or radiation therapy. The center includes a full-service radiation therapy department that offers stereotactic radiotherapy and IMRT for targeted radiation treatment. As the potential for infusion services wane, infusion and clinic spaces as silo departments were eliminated, and private infusion bays were converted back to exam rooms providing long-term flexibility. The center is also connected to Community Hospital North via a sky bridge for additional resources and convenient access for inpatients.

The center also includes spaces for support groups, physical therapy, art and music therapy, tai chi, massage and exercise. An onsite boutique with fitting services for camisoles, wigs, headwear and breast forms/prosthesis/bras provides additional support for patients.

The facility was designed by CallisonRTKL.
