According to “The Register-Guard,” A new four-story patient tower at McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center in Springfield, Ore., is now complete and will begin welcoming patients in July. This completion is part of a three-year, $85 million upgrade to the hospital.

The new tower will double the number of beds in the cardiovascular unit and emergency department, and increase the number of operating rooms.

In August, a remodel and expansion of the hospital’s emergency department will begin.
