Hammes Company appointed Michael Solak as the regional vice president out of the firm’s Boston office. Solak is returning to Hammes Company as the operations lead in New England and will be working closely with the Washington, D.C., office in expanding Hammes’ footprint in New England. Solak is currently working with Eastern Maine Medical Center on the completion of their $180 million expansion and renovation in Bangor.

Solak has more than 30 years of experience in healthcare capital facilities development, design and construction management including leading facilities operations, certificate of need, site selection, financial feasibility, zoning and project implementation.

Before joining Hammes Company, Solak served as senior vice president of healthcare at Colliers-International. He also served as vice president of facilities for HCA Portsmouth Regional Hospital for nearly 20 years.
