Erik Mollo-Christensen, AIA, an international expert in planning and design of proton therapy centers, has joined Stantec as a senior architect.

Based in the firm’s Washington, DC office, Mollo-Christensen has a key role in the firm’s Particle Therapy Center of Excellence, a practice dedicated to the field of particle therapy in cancer treatment programs. With expertise in lab and vivarium planning, Mollo-Christensen will also support the firm’s science and technology practice.

For more than 25 years, Mollo-Christensen has led project teams in planning, design, and construction administration for dozens of radiotherapy and cancer center facilities. His experience ranges from one room to multi-room proton therapy centers, including a 1.2 million-square-foot cancer center with a two-level integrated radiotherapy department, featuring five particle therapy and 17 radiation therapy treatment rooms, as well as 100,000 square feet of translational research labs.
