Non-profit hospital network Renown Health (Reno, Nev.) plans to keep its repurposed parking garage as an alternate care site at Renown Regional Medical Center (Reno), as the organization prepares for a second surge in COVID-19 cases, according to an article in News 4.

The converted garage is serving as an alternate care facility for additional hospitalized patients, allowing caregivers to remain on campus and have accessibility to existing hospital infrastructure such as the lab, pharmacy, imaging, and food services. The temporary care site is equipped with beds and basic patient care support equipment.
