Sheltering Arms Institute (Richmond, Va.), an inpatient rehabilitation hospital developed by Sheltering Arms Hospital (Mechanicsville, Va.) and VCU Health (Richmond), is being completed in Goochland County, Va., according to an article in Richmond BizSense.

Patients currently at Sheltering Arms and VCU Health will be moved in stages to the new facility over a two-week period beginning in mid-June.

Situated on 25 acres, the 200,000-square-foot, 114-bed hospital will offer care for patients recovering from strokes, spinal cord injuries, and brain injuries, as well as services for people who suffer from neurological diseases and disorders.

The $95 million project team included architecture firm HDR and Hourigan (general contractor; Richmond).
