St. Charles Health System has wrapped up construction work on the third and final phase of St. Charles Madras’ $16 million hospital expansion and renovation in Madras, Ore.

This final phase included enlarging the laboratory, enhancing the hospital entrance and parking areas, and connecting the new central registration and waiting area with the older part of the hospital.

The plan was approved in 2014 by the St. Charles board of directors. In total, it adds 26,000 square feet to the facility and enhances outpatient and primary care services.

As part of the same project, the St. Charles Madras ED was expanded and enhanced, and a new surgical suite and imaging department were constructed, all of which were completed last summer.
