The Texas A&M Foundation announced that it’s endowing the George J. Mann Chair in Healthcare Design to honor architect and professor George J. Mann’s work at the college and his impact on the healthcare industry.

Mann joined the faculty at Texas A&M in College Station, Texas, more than 50 years ago, launching the college’s Architecture for Health program and most recently serving as the Ronald L. Skaggs Endowed Professor in Health Facilities Design, College of Architecture. He’s also authored numerous articles and research reports and given presentations on his findings across the country and around the globe.

Mann’s former students Ronald Skaggs, chairman emeritus of HKS Inc. (Dallas) and Joseph Sprague, senior vice president of health facilities at HKS, pledged the leading donations to establish the faculty chair. For more information, visit www.tamu.edu.
