Nonporous surfacing options


Staron® Surfaces offers versatile surfacing options approved for healthcare applications. Staron Solid Surface is nonporous, which makes it a highly hygienic surface, warding off unwelcome mold and bacteria. It is also stain resistant and highly durable-critical for applications often seen in healthcare facilities. The Solid Surface line has earned two GREENGUARD certifications for improving indoor air quality. Both certifications recognize Staron as a low-emitting interior building material.

Hard-fired ceramic tile


Metropolitan Ceramics® produces a ceramic tile with a preconsumer recycled content of over 60%. ENVIROQUARRY® is 1/2″ thick and is available in 6″ x 6″, nominal 4″ x 8″, and nominal 8″ x 8″ sizes. ENVIROQUARRY tiles are hard-fired, making them durable enough for the most demanding/heavy-traffic installations, and kiln flashed for random color variation and added appeal.

Colored linoleum


Harmonium xf has a newly extended color line and xf, Harmonium’s innovative topcoat treatment. Linoleum now has a tough surface to protect a beautiful, rapidly renewable material.

Tile collection


Hanwha L&C USA has introduced Miraton, a tile collection extension of its quartz surface line that will soon be manufactured in North America. Clients will be able to access the 30-plus color palette of Miraton this Summer alongside seven new colors from the company’s top-of-the-line countertop imprints, HanStone and Hanex®, through its distributors. The inaugural product of HanStone, Hanex, and new Miraton that debuted recently at the Kitchen & Bath Show in Atlanta, was donated to the local Habitat for Humanity Restore, benefiting area working families.

Wall base protection


Health Design Wall Base and Preformed Inside and Outside Corners by Flexco were specifically developed to increase productivity/ease of installation compared to traditional time-consuming and unsightly on-site flash coving. Dyed broadloom and carpet tile


Satellite City and Suburban Fringe offer dyed colorways in combination with broadloom and carpet tile options. The midscale, naturally organic patterns are available in broadloom and carpet tile (18″ x 18″ or 36″ x 36″). Made with Antron Lumena® solution dyed nylon, Satellite City and Suburban Fringe are available in 16 color tones. Also, High PerformancePC is the standard backing system on all Bentley Prince Street broadloom products. This unique latex formulation recovers mineral residual from the paper recycling industry in an environmentally friendly fashion, resulting in a minimum average 10% postconsumer recycled content by total product weight. Both Satellite City and Suburban Fringe are certified to the NSF-140 Sustainable Carpet Assessment Standard at the Gold level.

PVC-free polyurethane surface


CBC (AMERICA) has introduced the redesigned WELS Sheet from CERES PVC-Free Flooring. Meeting demand for PVC-free products, CERES developed a nonporous, cross-linked reinforced polyurethane wear surface. The result is seamless sheet flooring, offering environmental and maintenance benefits in 28 colors.
